Convince Your Boss

No matter how excited you are to attend WPC 2022, you may find that before you can click that REGISTER NOW button, you will have to convince your boss to let you attend. Here are 4 easy steps to help make your business case:

STEP 1: HIGHLIGHT THE SESSIONS MOST BENEFICIAL TO YOUR ORGANIZATION
Review the program and determine the sessions that will best advance you organization's strategy and your professional development goals to help you be an even stronger contributor to your workplace. Explain to your boss how those sessions will benefit your organization.

STEP 2: MINIMIZE COSTS BY REGISTERING EARLY
Let your boss know you’ve figured out a way to make it as cost-effective as possible. A big part of reducing cost is to register early before rates increase.

STEP 3: COMPLETE THE REQUEST LETTER
Sometimes your boss will need it in writing, or just prefers to receive your request in an email. Don’t worry – we’ve got you covered there, too! Use our handy Letter Template as a great starting point for organizing your thoughts and ensuring you’re making the best business case for attending WPC 2022!

STEP 4: BRING IT ALL HOME
Let your boss know you will commit to a post-conference briefing for your colleagues, where you’ll highlight what you’ve learned from the experience. Tie your learnings to your organization’s strategy to show your boss that the conference won’t be just be beneficial in theory but will give you real-world practice and actionable solutions that you can implement for your organization.
