After a period of unprecedented upheaval and historically unprecedented conditions, the U.S. labor market appears to have emerged from the COVID-era into a period of comparatively normal conditions. However, the labor market remains very tight by historical standards, and is always changing in ways that create new challenges and opportunities for employers and workers alike. In this presentation, we combine data from our monthly labor market overviews to describe how the U.S. labor force has evolved in the prior year and what to expect going forward.
