Through a combination of reskilling, strategic investments, and partnerships, GM is making transformational changes to foster an inclusive and equitable workforce that will enable new innovations and lead the company into the future of transportation. Tammy, who has been with the organization for over 30 years holding positions in manufacturing staff, global facilities, manufacturing operations, quality, labor relations, and human resources will speak about the programs she and her team have implemented to create a more inclusive and equitable workforce.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how a company like GM has created new career pathways for historically underrepresented groups.
  • Learn how companies can create better pipelines and programs around STEM education to ensure people from underrepresented minority groups aren’t pushed further to the margins of access to high-paying jobs in tech.
  • Learn how to streamline training to ensure they are inclusive no matter one’s age, gender, ethnicity/race, or educational attainment.
