Paul is a Senior Litigation Counsel for the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. He litigates and tries civil and criminal cases charging federal antitrust law violations. Cases he has litigated implicate billions in commerce and a broad range of industries including health care, agricultural equipment, poultry, publishing, and household appliances.

During his time at the Antitrust Division, he was detailed to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Virginia, where he served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney. He prosecuted fraud, drug trafficking, and other federal crimes. He participated in jury trials, and briefed and argued appeals in the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond.

Paul began his DOJ career as an Antitrust Division Honors’ Attorney in 2003. Prior to joining DOJ, He served as a law clerk to the Honorable James T. Moody, judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. He received a J.D. magna cum laude from St. John’s University School of Law.
