As a leader passionate about City of Hope's vision to democratize cancer care, Angela Talton will discuss how to infuse diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) into your organization's DNA. By fostering a greater focus on community needs in business activities, research and programming, learn how to incorporate DEI in impactful ways, such as through recruitment, community-based outreach and by ensuring diversity in clinical trials and advocacy.

Learning Objectives:

  • Develop a foundation of health equity across your organization's initiatives, including employee workshops and clinician training programs.
  • Create a recruitment process that is unbiased and inclusive.
  • Understand how to implement targeted outreach and facilitated training within your community through research and education programs to better understand and address their needs.
  • Learn how to utilize the Supplier Diversity Program which encourages the engagement of minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, LGBTQ-owned, service-disabled, veteran-owned and historically underutilized business as suppliers.
