This sesssion will help you spot the misclassified worker and implement creative strategies to reduce or avoid misclassification liability. You will learn:
· How to apply the legal standards for classifying exempt employees and independent contractors in the workplace.
· How and whether new technology and new economic models (such as the shared economy) have changed
the legal standards for determining exempt and independent contractor status.
· How to develop create strategies to avoid or reduce misclassification liability.
· How to communicate with executive management on classification issues to reduce legal liability.
