Following an introduction by former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott (R-MS), former Senator John Breaux (D-LA) will deliver tips for how to effectively advocate for public policy priorities before Congress, the continuing importance of bipartisan strategies, and how to establish lasting relationships with policymakers on both sides of the political aisle. Senator Breaux will draw on his experiences serving with Senator Lott and how they, along with their colleagues, put policy before politics to achieve legislative success.
