Workplace Application:
Attendees will leave with an understanding of the current immigration environment in China and what it means for businesses.

Against a backdrop of significantly and rapidly changing employee demographics, business needs, workforce models, regulations, technology and consumer expectations, this panel will discuss the latest updates on Chinese inbound and outbound immigration and will engage in a deep dialogue with one of the fastest-growing global Chinese companies, Alibaba. During the session, business leaders will explore challenges, insights and solutions on managing a global talent mobility program in China in today's environment. The panel will also share best practices on how to develop an effective program for mobilizing talent into and out of China. Join Fragomen partners Becky Xia and Cynthia Lange as they help you navigate some of the latest changes in Chinese immigration and discuss the key implications of such changes on businesses. Alibaba's mission is to "make it easy to do business anywhere," and the leader of the company's Global Human Resources Shared Services division, Sherry Chen, will share her experiences of how HR plays a critical role in supporting the globalization of the company under dynamic and borderless business trends and how a global immigration program can best support business needs. Together, the panel members will share their success stories working with Chinese government authorities on negotiating work visas, permanent residency applications and internship solutions to support business growth in China and globally.
