Workplace Application:
This session will emphasize what employer-sponsored health care means under the Trump presidency to help you adapt your group health plans to comply with new and/or proposed changes to the ACA and other benefits regulations.
For the last seven years employers have been adapting their health plans to comply with the various requirements of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare, a law that newly elected President Donald Trump has vowed to repeal and replace. Trump’s efforts to repeal President Obama’s signature law has ignited a lot of confusion in the market as to exactly what provisions will change and when. The goal of this session is to provide an overview of health care reform initiatives under a Trump presidency and how that will impact you. This session will:
- Review Trump’s health care reform initiatives during his first 100 days in office.
- Discuss the outcome of early repeal efforts.
- Help you understand parts of the ACA and/or other laws that may be the most difficult to repeal.
- Provide an overview of the replacement strategy known up to this point.
