This workshop will help those yet to be exposed to strategic planning and show you how to build an HR strategy to support your organization.

Whether you are an HR department of one or part of a large HR division, you need to have HR strategies aligning your organizational goals and activities. This workshop will highlight your role as an HR professional in developing and working within the organization's strategic plan, as well as your role in developing HR business unit and subsequent functional unit strategies. Practical, easy-to-use tips will be shared to help get strategy out of the boardroom and into the breakrooms. Finally, recommendations on how to improve the chances of executing your strategy effectively will also be provided. This workshop will help you:

·         Understand the strategic planning process.

·         Identify the value of HR during the strategic planning process and ways to interject yourself into it.

·         Understand how to “drill down” and develop business unit or functional unit strategies.

·         Learn methods to engage teams in the development of strategies and objectives.

·         Identify “execution pitfalls” and, moreover, learn how to avoid them.
