This session will address the latest changes to California law and how you should respond.
Updates to the California Family Rights Act (CFRA) regulations may clarify the state law and align the CFRA more closely with the federal Family and Medical Leave Act, but important differences still remain between these two laws. Changes to California's Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) are also on the horizon. This session will help you navigate the changes these laws bring about and will:
- Discuss the CFRA amendments in detail, focusing on the key differences between the state and federal law.
- Address how the impending revisions to FEHA will change your obligations in the workplace.
- Offer best practices on drafting effective policies to address these changes to California employment laws.
