Too many times you get burned by changes in California law. Sometimes, you find yourself reacting to new California trends as opposed to proactively planning for those emerging issues. This course will identify the critical California developments for 2017 which could burn you. This session will cover:
· How the changes in the federal Fair Labor Standards Act impact California where in the past
California HR practitioners did not have to be so concerned with the FLSA.
· The emerging issues in leave management including the always challenging interplay with disability,
family and medical leave and the new sick day laws.
· The emerging trends in the hiring function.
