1.25 SHRM PDCs, 1.25 HR Credit | Competencies: Relationship Management, Leadership & Navigation | Intended Audience: Senior-Level
Workplace Application:
You will learn the business advantage of developing women leaders and how to use key HR levers to drive the success of this effort.

Despite strong efforts in many organizations, women continue to be poorly represented in top leadership roles worldwide. Chances are that organizations are looking at advancing women leaders as a development issue, when, in fact, it's a multi-faceted, culture change issue with solutions in many different arenas including hiring and promotion, succession planning, and diversity initiatives among others. Successfully advancing women into leadership roles requires all stakeholders (and both genders) coming together in a concerted change effort with support and energy from top leadership to bridge the gender gap and make the very best use of all its talent. This session will help you:

  • Explore how to develop a talent management strategy that drives results in advancing women leaders.
  • Discover a framework for developing women leaders based on research into both gender and leadership.
  • Identify ways to bring both men and women to the table to shatter the glass ceiling.
