1.25 SHRM PDCs, 1.25 HR Credit | Competencies: Relationship Management, Global & Cultural Effectiveness | Intended Audience: Senior-Level
Workplace Application:
This session will provide insight on what it means to be a diversity candidate, and how to promote a more inclusive workplace.

For years we have looked at diversity in the workplace from the company's perspective. We have defended its benefits, calculated the ROI and impact on the bottom line. However, what does diversity mean to “diversity candidates”? How have their unique experiences formed who they are and put them in a position to add value to our organizations? You will leave this session with:

  • An understanding value added by diversity programs as well as some of the pitfalls of diversity programs.
  • A better understanding about the work/life experiences of diversity candidates.
  • Ways to make your workplace more inclusive to combat/remove bias.
