Many companies do not understand the Americans with Disabilities Act and how to apply it to the roles in their organization. The failure to understand how to evaluate the essential functions of a role and how to determine accommodations under the ADA can be costly. Therefore, it is imperative for organizations to understand the ADA, how to evaluate jobs within their organization, and how to work through the accommodation process.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how ADA truly impacts employers.
  • Evaluate a position to determine the essential functions and why that's critical.
  • Review what a 'qualified individual' is under ADA.
  • Hear how to design and implement a compliant ADA accommodation process.
