Recent research by The Hartford and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) found Black U.S. workers face greater barriers to mental health support in the workplace compared with white, Hispanic/Latino, and Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) U.S. workers. The national survey also showed nearly half of LGBTQ+ working Americans feel their mental health at work is affected by news and current events.

Attendees will hear how aspects of workers’ identity affect their experience with mental health at work. Also, speakers will share strategies that employers can use to increase mental health awareness and access to help to ensure mental health for all.

Learning Objectives:

  • How DEI intersects with mental health.
  • The business case for prioritizing both DEI and employee mental health.
  • A whole-company approach to dispel mental health stigma and create an inclusive work environment.
