Closing General Session: Applying an Entrepreneurial Mindset to Solve Workplace DE&I Challenges
Wednesday 10/21/2020 04:00 PM - 05:00 PM   Add to calendar
Intended Audience: All Levels

Having entrepreneurial spirit means actively seeking out change instead of reacting to it. It's a mindset that embraces critical questioning, innovative thinking and continuous improvement. Self-made multimillionaire Daymond John personifies entrepreneurial spirit. You know him as an investor on the hit TV show Shark Tank and as the founder and CEO of the clothing brand FUBU. During this powerful closing session, John will share his savvy perspective for effecting bold change during a conversation with Emily M. Dickens, J.D., SHRM’s Corporate Secretary, Chief of Staff and Head of Government Affairs. Much like how entrepreneurs identify a problem in the market, John will help you apply an entrepreneurial mindset to get to the root of workplace DE&I problems—so you can create real, impactful change. Often the first step is listening to your staff, particularly when it comes to systematic issues, like discrimination based on race or age. You will gain newfound insight and be empowered to unleash your own entrepreneurial spirit to solve your DE&I challenges.
