Sessions
The interpretation of employment law (and more specifically employers' obligations) varies greatly between the Justices of the United States Supreme Court and those on the California Supreme Court. While the current composition of the U.S. Supreme Court leans pro-employer, the California Supreme Court is more friendly to employees. Tracking the interpretive differences between these two bodies is hard enough, but trying to development employment related policies that allow employers to manage their workforces while limiting legal risk is near impossible. This session will help identify the most significant issues and provide practical recommendations to help employers face this challenge.
