Thursday 09/24/2020 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM   Add to calendar
1.00 SHRM PDCs | Intended Audience: All Levels

Transgender advocacy is gaining more visibility and making progress around the world. The Bay Area is a world-renowned mecca for trans people because of its inclusive attitudes and myriad resources for the community. However, trans people remain some of the most marginalized people in the world. Organizations can leverage their power in accelerating positive change to ensure that people of all genders have equitable access to secure employment, workplace benefits, and a safe and welcoming work environment. This session will focus on three important topics around workplace trans inclusion: articulating the need, opportunities for change and best practices.

OBJECTIVES

  • Understand why it is important to address trans inclusion at work.
  • Discover what strategic planning and actions can be taken to create change.
  • Learn examples of best practices.
