Magnolia 5
In-Person Monday 04/17/2023 01:00 PM - 02:00 PM   Add to calendar
Competencies: Business (Behavioral) | Intended Audience: Mid-Level, Senior-Level
Workplace Application:
Attendees will learn how managing the rapidly changing nature of work requires employers to embrace the power of skilled credentials.

Increasingly, employees are looking to skilled credentials - a credential, industry certification, apprenticeship - to help them enter and/or advance in the workplace. However, employer practices are not keeping up with this employee trend. Despite exponential growth, HR leaders and hiring managers are often slow to incorporate these non-traditional markers into their employment and advancement processes. This can frustrate employees who are looking to advance by gaining relevant skills. Hear about Google’s recent research into the increasing demand for and uptake of skilled credentials to hire and retain talent and get rapidly changing skills into the workplace. See how several companies are taking advantage of the shifting educational landscape to get and keep the talent they need.

Learning Objectives:

  • Hear why employees utilize skilled credentials.
  • Discover how making skilled credentials part of a talent development strategy helps with recruitment and retention.
  • Increase acceptance of skilled credentials in your workplace.

In-person session offerings are on a first-come, first-served basis.
