Magnolia 14
In-Person Tuesday 04/18/2023 01:00 PM - 02:00 PM   Add to calendar
Competencies: Business (Behavioral), Interpersonal (Behavioral) | Intended Audience: Mid-Level, Senior-Level
Workplace Application:
Attendees will learn about the benefits of a Flexible First policy and how it helps empower employees to put their needs first while also boosting productivity.

Where and how our workforces get their work done every day has changed over recent years, as 87% of Americans would take the chance to work flexibly. That's why Beatriz and Marqeta's People Experience Team created their 'Flexible First' work policy, empowering employees to create a safe and inclusive culture and a workplace that helps them feel like they belong. Beatriz can share how this work-from-anywhere structure helps employees be more productive and strengthens talent recruitment and retention.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discover what an HR leader learned through supporting a flexible work policy across a global company with a 60% distributed workforce.
  • Learn how a flexible work structure also helps attract and retain top talent, allowing for more prospective employees in cities outside of the company's office locations and giving current employees the option to move.
  • See how giving employees the opportunity to select a work structure that works best for them also empowers them to take more time for themselves, which in turn decreases employee burnout.

In-person session offerings are on a first-come, first-served basis.
