Workplace Application:
Identify and address workplace blind spots on a personal and organizational scale to build a more diverse workforce through action, awareness and adaptation.
We are incapable of seeing our own blind spots, and the modern workplace is filled with places where our ancestral brain is routinely flying blind. While our “evolved” brain seeks safety and familiarity to survive, the modern workplace requires innovation and diversity to thrive. This session will empower you to identify and overcome the behaviors that act as barriers to your optimal performance and will show you how to acquire and retain the best talent.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the root of subconscious bias leading to unethical behaviors.
- Neutralize fears associated with blind spots.
- Recognize and mitigate implicit blind spots on a personal and organizational scale through awareness, action and adaptation.
- Learn how reliance on the subconscious can lead to ineffective and/or unethical decision-making.
- Establish a road map to keep blind spots in check.
