This session will show you how to engage and retain veterans by successfully integrating them into their new environment. 

This session provides education and a skill-building opportunity for leaders and companies committed to hiring, engaging and developing veterans. You will learn how to successfully transition and integrate veterans, which will not only ensure the success of the veteran but also the success of the company by being able to retain this valuable resource. This session will help you:

·         Describe the characteristics of military culture that frame veterans’ military paradigm.

·         List and describe the seven attributes veterans bring to an organization as a result of their military experience.

·         Identify the gaps that may exist as a result of the differences between military and civilian cultures.

·         Determine strategies that can be implemented to minimize any issues with veterans’ transition to the civilian workforce.
