Australia 3
Monday 04/18/2016 10:45 AM - 12:00 PM   Add to calendar
1.25 SHRM PDCs, 1.25 HR Credit | Competencies: HR Expertise, Business Acumen | Intended Audience: Senior-Level
Workplace Application:
This session will apply Lean Thinking and Six Sigma theory to flawed hiring processes, and will compare cross-functional metrics from various operations.

Did you ever hire somebody that you later wished you hadn't? Organizations are crippled by new hires who are not aligned with the organization's core values, and current talent acquisition models do not reveal this important information about new hires. This session will deconstruct failed past strategies and look at promising new ideas that appear to be producing results. Data and case studies will be shared from the “front lines” on the war for talent. Lean thinking methods will be used to look at values alignment from several viewpoints, including operational, financial and, of course, HR. This session will highlight:

·         The top six reasons why talent management has returned as a front-burner issue and how much hasn’t changed
           over the last 50 years.

·         Why hiring managers are blocking new hiring methods.

·         Why values questions are more important than behavioral questions.

·         How to prevent problems by learning from case studies about new hiring methods.
