Workplace Application:
Learn the difference between simple and sophisticated assessments, what they measure, and how to use them as effective tools in screening your candidates.

Most assessments are classified as behavioral assessments and measure four dimensions of personality. Psychological assessments, which are more sophisticated, capture a broader, more in-depth picture of personality and measure the “Big 5” traits often discussed in psychology today. The more sophisticated assessments are both highly validated and highly reliable. Used appropriately, assessments can be an effective tool throughout the entire talent management process, from supporting an effective selection model to predicting emergent leaders and their leadership potential—not to mention that an efffective assessment can save your organization both time and money. This session will help you:

·         Discover the difference between validity and reliability.

·         Learn what a test-taking mentality is and how it affects results.

·         Identify the different types of assessments.

·         Understand emotional intelligence and intellectual intelligence and how to measure them.

·         Learn how to design an assessment program.
