1.50 SHRM PDCs | Competencies: Leadership & Navigation, Communication
Workplace Application:
You will learn how to exude confidence, professionalism and strong executive presence in any situation.

Repeated from Tuesday at 10:15 a.m.

It's not just what you say, it's also how you say it. It's not always about who has the leadership title but who can command a presence, rally a team and win people over. Often, brilliant individuals are ignored because they fail to convey executive presence and instill trust in their capabilities. This session will break down executive presence and detail how you can create a positive impression, command a room, communicate confidently and wow the executives you work with so that you are seen as a solid HR leader. By understanding how to be more assertive, you will learn how to drive your initiatives with strong and clear communication. This session will show you how to:

  • Captivate an audience with energy, volume and powerful body language to exude confidence and a strong executive presence.
  • Speak assertively to constituents and deliver key messages with poise and style.
  • Build rapport with the senior leaders you work with to establish strong relationships.
  • Stay composed and confident during stressful situations.
  • Understand proper business etiquette and how you should look, act and talk for various occasions.
