There are more than 30,000 pages of proposed regulations, final regulations, notices, FAQs and other materials posted in the Federal Register regarding the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The sheer volume of guidance has created a compliance concern amongst employers. This session will review key ACA market reforms, how to comply with these market reforms and the consequences of noncompliance. The session will also address certain administrative challenges and trends that the ACA has brought upon employers and their health plans. In this session, you will learn about:

  • ACA market reforms that impact group health plans and include new employer requirements.
  • Penalties for non-compliance, including details on the regulatory agencies who enforce the ACA.
  • Administrative challenges related to the Employer Mandate, New Reporting Requirements and other provisions.
  • The impact the ACA is having on the traditional role of HR and employee benefits.
  • Plan design trends now that the ACA is almost at full implementation.
