Workplace Application:
Explore alignments in addressing religion anddisability, to create inclusive work environments in your organization.

While religion and disability issues in the workplace are not often discussed in tandem, they are the only two identity classes of employees for whom there are legal requirements to reasonably accommodate their needs. What processes are in place to accommodate employees' visible and invisible disabilities? Can they be applied to accommodate employees' religious needs (and vice versa)? The presenters share the ways in which you can improve your mindset, and in which your organization can create inclusive environments.

• Understand the similar challenges and opportunities companies face in addressing and accommodating religion and disability in the workplace.

• Know how to identify and learn from those similarities, to address diversity across identity groups and leverage employee resources.

• Move your mindset toward accommodation and inclusion, by considering how identities inform, influence, and intersect in the workplace.
