Sherry Chen is the head of Global HR shared service, Alibaba Group, based in Hangzhou with responsibility for HR shared service serving 65,000+ employees worldwide. With Alibaba’s international business expansion, she is leading the project named "Columbus" to build up one scalable &flexibale HR platform and provide starndard & effiecient all  HR services to Global employees. 

Prior to joining Aliababa in 2015, Sherry was the head of Philips People Service- North Asia and based in Shanghai with responsibility for HR shared service serving 18,000+ employees in North Asia.  In 2011, she established North Asia regional shared service centers providing HR services with E2E standardized processes, leading and directing HR transformation and driving high quality HR shared service to the regional market.

Prior to joining Philips in 2011, Sherry Chen was North Asia IM leader in British Petroleum and Asia GMS leader- compensation &benefit support in GE.

As her career demonstrates, Sherry has broad human resources experience in a complex and sophisticated corporate environment, and has successfully dealt with the challenges of the company culture in both Western and Chinese MNC. She extremely specialized in HR shared service, compensation & benefit, International mobility and leading and managing HR transformation with multi-disciplinary teams in region.
