Dave Ryan is the Director of Human Resources for Mel-O-Cream Donuts International in Springfield, IL. He has been in HR since it was Personnel. He is also an avid TChatter, and been known to participate in the event (however inappropriately) from restaurant restrooms, or the referees locker room at various ice rinks.

Donna Rogers, instructor of management, graduated with a Masters of Education (MEd.) in Human Resources Development (HRD) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) with honors. While studying at U of I she was initiated as a member of the International Honor Society in Education: Kappa Delta Pi and the Professional society of Vocational Education: Omicron Tau Theta. Her Human Resources career began in 1991 and ten years later she was certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and has continued to recertify currently through February 2019. After being certified, she was professionally qualified to teach at the college level and joined the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) as an adjunct faculty member in 2002. She continued teaching on an “as needed basis” at both UIS and Robert Morris College until 2008 when she joined the UIS College of Business and Management (CBM) full-time. There she serves as an instructor of Human Resources Management (HRM), Organizational Development (OD), Organizational Behavior (OB), and Strategic Human Resources Management. She teaches online, blended and face-to-face classes. She also mentors job seekers and has previously taught a Career Management (CM) course. Additionally, she “practices what she preaches” as the owner of Rogers HR Consulting which was founded in 2001 winning the 2008 Small Business Award of the Year for Home Based Business from the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce. In January 2008, HRCI awarded Rogers HR Consulting the designation of Pre-Approved Provider of HR recertification programs which was been reactivated through December of 2014. Additional professional awards include: Lifetime Achievement in HR Award and the HR Professional of the Year from the Central Illinois Chapter of SHRM (CIC-SHRM); 40-Under-40 Selectee for Springfield Business Journal; and Supervisor of the Year from Springfield Public Schools. Most recently she earned the new senior certified professional certification from the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) which is good through 2018.  She regularly delivers numerous presentations among professional groups and has guest lectured at Benedictine University/Springfield College in Illinois. She humbly serves her peers in the Human Resources profession as the Illinois State Council of the Society of Human Resources (ILSHRM) College Relations Director and is a Past North Central Region - Membership Advisory Committee Representative (NCR – MAC Rep) and Past Director for ILSHRM.  Finally, she proudly served our great country in the military for eight years retiring as a Ground Safety Inspector for the Illinois Air National Guard. J. Lenora Bresler, J.D., is a powerhouse of enthusiasm and insight.  In her presentations, you get plenty of substance along with a good helping of “fun.” Graduating from law school at age 20, she is an attorney, a certified senior human resource professional, a professional public speaker in the National Speakers Association, is a GSI, graduate of the Speakers Institute, and holds an advanced speaker certificate.  She operates Bresler Training, a corporate keynoting and training business.  Her specialties are leadership, motivation, change, and conflict resolution.  J. Lenora has given thousands of presentations and keynote addresses to every kind of audience imaginable and is known for her energetic and humorous speaking style.  She was the first executive director of the nationally-acclaimed Polk Works Workforce 2020 project, dedicated to educating employers in workforce trends.  In addition to teaching Law at the University of South Florida and all modules of the Human Resources Certification courses at Valencia Enterprises, J. Lenora was the long-time host of her own law and politics talk radio program for a Fox-affiliate radio station. She is a Bible teacher, formerly with her own religious radio program, an actress, and singer.  She co-authored the books Mission Possible with Steven Covey and Brian Tracy and the Best of the Best.  She is the editor of the motivational book Jump Starts by Tim Richardson.  Her newest book is Instant Insight. 

Dr. Oz, two-time Daytime Emmy® Award-winning host of the three-time Daytime Emmy® Award-winning “The Dr. Oz Show,” is Vice-Chair and Professor of Surgery at Columbia University.  He directs the Cardiovascular Institute and Complementary Medicine Program at New York Presbyterian Hospital. His research interests include heart replacement surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, complementary medicine and health care policy.  He has authored over 400 original publications, book chapters, and medical books, has received several patents, and performs more than 100 heart surgeries per year. 

Dr. Oz was born in Cleveland, Ohio, raised in Delaware, received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University (1982) and obtained a joint MD and MBA (1986) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Wharton Business School. He lives in Northern New Jersey with his wife Lisa of 26 years and their four children, Daphne, Arabella, Zoe and Oliver. 

Previously, Dr. Oz was a featured health expert on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” for over five seasons, spanning 55 episodes.  In addition to regular appearances on the “Today” show, he has also been featured on “Good Morning America,” “Larry King Live,” “The View,” “Piers Morgan Tonight,” guest-hosted the “Charlie Rose” show and appeared on all the evening news broadcasts.  He also served as medical director of Denzel Washington’s “John Q” and participated in several other feature films.

Kerry Weinger, a Partner with Baker McKenzie, is based in Chicago and chairs the Chicago Employment & Compensation Practice Group.  He advises on the multinational employment, tax, social security, employee benefits, compensation law and other legal issues concerning the cross-border movement of employees as well as assisting clients entering new territories.  Kerry is a member of several Human Resources, Bar and CPA associations and practiced abroad for two and a half years in Brussels, Belgium.

Victor is a certified and trained instructor, and has delivered hundreds of presentations, training sessions, and learning events internally at Ricoh. He began work as a certified technical trainer in the 1990s and directed the Sales Training & Development organization at Ricoh from 2006-2010

Stewart Levy’s 25-year healthcare career includes leadership positions in the pharmaceutical industry and health promotion organizations. As Director of Sales and Marketing at Novo Nordisk and then Merck, Stewart developed and implemented marketing initiatives for the largest payers and providers in healthcare, including government, managed care organizations, retail chains, and employer groups. During his tenure at Merck, Stewart was involved in helping develop the first pharmacy-based cardiovascular outcomes study, “Project Impact.” This breakthrough project involved the American Pharmaceutical Association (APhA) and helped document the effectiveness of retail-based cholesterol testing in reducing cardiovascular risk through pharmacists.

Stewart spent the next ten years as Senior Vice President and Principal of Impact Health, a national health promotion organization. Under Stewart’s leadership, the breadth of customer groups embracing health promotion expanded to pharmaceutical companies, food companies, advertising agencies, patient recruitment firms, retail chains and more. While at Impact Health, Stewart assisted and authored two outcomes studies. The first was a three-year study with over 12,000 participants which documented the metabolic risk of Hispanic populations in multiple types of venues. The second was a pharmaceutical-sponsored study which documented the effectiveness of a targeted health education campaign with biometric screening on two divergent employee populations. Under his leadership Impact Health expanded from a regional company servicing local employers and managed care organizations in the Northeast, to one of the largest national biometric screening companies in the industry.Stewart founded Health Promotion Solutions (HPS) in January of 2009 to focus on the need for effective, evidence based solutions for chronic disease prevention, identification and management. His expertise in the health promotion industry have led to business with government agencies, employer groups, retail clinics, insurance brokers, and other healthcare organizations nationwide.
