This session will help those solely dedicated to recruiting get better understanding of the full responsibility of the HR team, particularly the role of the HR generalist.
Too often the recruiting function operates in a vacuum of filling positions and conducting orientation. Would you like a broader view of HR and how you can create bridges that allow you to cross train and consider other areas of HR? This session will cover other functional areas of HR including Compensation, Benefits, Training, Compliance and Performance Management. The goal will be to provide an overview of situations you may want to investigate in your own organization. This session will leave you with:
- A basic overview in HR functions that you need to know to be an effective team member with the rest of your HR department.
- A better understanding of how to work with managers and position recruiting as a strategic part of the department.
