This session explores how state councils and chapters can clearly define sustainable veteran employment and engagement strategies that support military talent in your communities.

With the increasing number of returning service members in the next five years, it is imperative to set and deliver strategies for successful, engaged employment. Discover the collective impact you can make in your community through educational programs, initiatives that connect employers with veteran talent, legislative advocacy, and building veteran-friendly human capital programs in member-organizations. This session explores today’s issues while sharing how state council and chapter leaders can:

  • Develop the engagement business case for your chapter, state council and employer organizations
  • Foster community and state-wide partnerships with business, government, educators and the military
  • Link objectives to fulfill CLA, SHAPE and Pinnacle goals
  • Impact the legislative landscape at local, state and federal levels
  • Expand your organization's community visibility and membership
  • Create opportunities to earn recertification credits
  • Sync up, stay connected and share best practices with communities across the country
