Gain recruitment and retention strategies for improving workforce diversity.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 30% of the U.S. population is Black, Hispanic, or Native American and this number is expected to reach 45% in 2050. Yet, diversity is still sorely missing in the C-suite of America's corporations. Only 3% of senior leaders at major corporations are Black, Hispanic, or Native American and these minorities fill only 7% of the fast-track, entry-level jobs post-college and 8% of the seats at major MBA programs. Continuing to draw our leadership talent from a small (and shrinking) portion of the population is unsustainable. Although some of the most well-respected companies have recognized they face a lack of diverse leadership, only a few are trying to correct it. This session will detail why this happens and how to create recruitment and retention strategies for improving workforce diversity. You will learn how to develop a strong infrastructure that provides diverse individuals with the tools, resources and feedback they need to succeed.
