This session will provide you with an overview of how to develop a military recruiting program as well as what you need to consider to successfully development your organization’s recruitment strategy. 

You will learn about the top myths and misperceptions about the skills and talents of today's military, and the facts that will empower you to overcome your hiring manager’s resistance to considering veteran applicants. Learn about the impact on OFCCP compliance and the use of work opportunity tax credits (WOTC) as well as how to cross-walk military skills with civilian positions. We will review a dozen approaches to finding military talent, including many low-to-no cost sources, and the types of talent you are likely to find using those resources. Rosser will share practical ideas for conducting Veterans Outreach as part of your recruitment marketing efforts. Gain insight into translating Military Occupational Codes (MOC's) so you can understand a resume written in 'military-ese'.
