Pay Transparency and Equity Reporting: Proactive Steps for Employers
In-Person Wednesday 11/20/2024 01:35 PM - 02:25 PM   Add to calendar

Nearly all U.S. employers are subject to the federal Equal Pay Act of 1963, which prohibits wage discrimination based on gender for similar work within the same workplace. State and local governments have also pushed to address broader pay inequities through laws focusing on pay transparency, inclusion of additional protected classes, prohibition of salary history inquiries, additional reporting requirements, and adjustments to legal justifications for pay variations. While these measures aim to address inequities, they may impose undue burdens on employers or complicate traditional salary decisions based on education and experience. This session will cover the latest developments, proactive steps employers can take, and expectations from federal and state governments.
