Your Admin Staff: Tapping HR’s Golden Natural Resource
Magnolia 8
In-Person Monday 04/17/2023 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM   Add to calendar
Competencies: Interpersonal (Behavioral) | Intended Audience: Mid-Level, Senior-Level
Workplace Application:
A first at SHRM! This interactive discussion will take a fresh look at the golden natural resource that is your administrative staff. They are a group of employees rich in formidable talents and skills, on top of their deep institutional knowledge. However, it is a surprising contradiction that they have for too long felt underleveraged, underutilized, and undervalued.

These industry experts on our panel believe it’s time for a revolutionary new approach to rethinking what is possible with the group of staffers often referred to as the backbone of the company, the right arms to managers, and the face of the culture. In reframed job descriptions, the administrative staff can become a stabilizing force in this time of extraordinary change.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how the admin staff can be tapped in the new workplace in areas where they already have talents and skills including onboarding, hiring, training, and disaster planning.
  • Leverage the admin staff and build trust with HR, in addition to higher productivity, increased retention, improved staff satisfaction, and boosted profits.
  • Create a new pipeline of talent in a variety of departments by rethinking the admin professional role and job description.

In-person session offerings are on a first-come, first-served basis.
