Workplace Application:
The joyworks session will give a point of view on neurodiversity in the workplace, how Java Joy is making a difference and give guidance on how to expand the diversity conversation to include disability.
Java Joy is a program of non-profit ESP with 35 years of experience serving people with disabilities. Java Joy spreads unmatched joy through moments of engagement with people of all abilities. The vehicle? A mobile coffee cart and year-round community for adults of all abilities. Now, the organization has pulled the expertise and experiences of Java Joy together to train businesses on seeing the ability in their organization.
Learning Objectives:
- Changed perspective and language on the importance of a company “blend”.
- The ability filter and how this can be used in the workplace.
- Opportunities to work with Joyworks as a tool for training employees.
- Inspiration and hope that diversity in the workplace is possible.
