Workplace Application:
You will learn the challenges and lessons of setting up and managing a people analytics team.

HR has traditionally relied on gut feeling, personal experience, relationships, and established practice to guide human capital decisions. This session will showcase how the Inter-American Development Bank created their People Analytics team to better enable the organization to make data-driven decisions. You will learn how this team got its start as well as the progress they have made since their inception. From descriptive statistics to predictive analytics, HR is now able to produce people analytics so the client departments can make data driven decisions, capitalizing on the Bank’s most valuable asset, its people. This session will show you:

  • How to bring together data from different sources into a single repository and how to create and capitalize on dashboards.
  • How IBD’s dashboards are now developed using state of the art platforms, providing insightful and creative solutions to our clients, cutting-edge visualizations, and interactive graphic user interface to allow efficient and quick access to information.
  • That the value added of HR analytics comes from connecting dots between people data and strategic business needs.
