Despite decades of effort to broaden the definition of diversity, it is mostly still defined as “race and gender.” Now is the time to move into a new era in the diversity space—one that focuses on individual uniqueness as opposed to assumed differences. In this session, the Elements of Individuality model will be introduced as the logical next step in Loden & Rosener’s four-phase diversity wheel. This new model incorporates the most up-to-date research in neuroscience, psychology and workplace dynamics to help us discuss the differences that, when harnessed, can create increased productivity for all.
