Tammy McCutchen is a principal in Littler Mendelson’s Washington D.C. office and also VP & Managing Director for ComplianceHR. She is a leading authority on federal and state wage-hour laws. Previously, McCutchen served as Administrator of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division where she was the primary architect of the 2004 revisions to the Part 541 overtime regulations.  McCutchen was on the litigation team that obtained the injunction of the 2016 Final Rule which would have increased the minimum salary level for exemption to nearly $48,000.  She is a graduate of Western Illinois University and Northwestern University School of Law, and clerked for Judge Manion on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
