Lieutenant-Commander Dave King enrolled in the Canadian Forces in 1985 as a Naval Operations Officer. Following 14 years at sea, he jumped ship to the Human Resources field and was posted to National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa as the Career Manager for 800 sailors. Furthering his HR experience, he entered the recruitment stream and held the positions of Regional Director of Recruiting Operations for Atlantic Canada and strategic recruiting advisor to the Director General Recruiting and Military Careers in Ottawa. Dave is currently employed within the Directorate of Maritime Personnel working on future fleet personnel policy and establishment and early career retention strategies.
