Dr. Olin Oedekoven is President and CEO of Peregrine Leadership Institute and Peregrine Academic Services located in Gillette, Wyoming. The Leadership Institute conducts leadership development workshops and seminars, human resource management consulting, and employee team development sessions. Peregrine Academics provides online testing services to colleges and universities for accreditation requirements. Dr. Oedekoven received a BS degree from South Dakota State University, a MS degree from University of Wyoming, a MSS degree from the US Army War College, and a MBA and Ph.D. from Northcentral University. Dr. Oedekoven is a retired brigadier general with the Wyoming Army National Guard.

Philip A. Miscimarra was sworn in as a Member of the National Labor Relations Board on August 7, 2013 for a term that expires on December 16, 2017.  Mr. Miscimarra was nominated by President Obama on April 9, 2013 and was approved unanimously by the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions on May 22, 2013.  He was confirmed by the Senate on July 30, 2013. 

Mr. Miscimarra previously was a labor and employment law partner with Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP in Chicago, and he was a Senior Fellow in the Center for Human Resources at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School.  He is the author or co-author of several books involving labor law issues, including The NLRB and Managerial Discretion: Subcontracting, Relocations, Closings, Sales, Layoffs, and Technological Change (2d ed. 2010) (by Miscimarra, Turner, Friedman, Callahan, Conrad, Lignowski and Scroggins); The NLRB and Secondary Boycotts (3d ed. 2002) (by Miscimarra, Berkowitz, Wiener and Ditelberg); and Government Protection of Employees Involved in Mergers and Acquisitions (1989 and 1997 supp.) (by Northrup and Miscimarra); among other publications. Before joining Morgan Lewis in 2005, Mr. Miscimarra was a labor and employment attorney with Seyfarth Shaw LLP in Chicago (1987-2005); Murphy Smith & Polk PC in Chicago (now the Chicago office of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, PC) (1986-87); and Reed Smith Shaw & McClay (now Reed Smith LLP) (1982-1986).

Mr. Miscimarra received his Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School; a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School; and a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from Duquesne University.

As vice president of human resources, David Almeda is responsible for overseeing the global human resources function at Kronos.  He serves as a strategic business partner to Kronos’ senior leadership team and drives the human capital management strategy, programs, and initiatives to support Kronos’ continued growth and profitability. Dr. Singleton comes to Marist College from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He has held many leadership positions at GW and most recently served as associate dean, where he was responsible for all aspects of School of Business undergraduate programs. 

Singleton has held numerous academic and professional positions throughout his career. He has served as president of the Mid-Atlantic Region of the American Accounting Association, Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Human Resource Certification Institute, and as a member of its Executive and HR Committees. He worked in the audit and National SEC Practice groups of Ernst & Young LLP’s Washington office and was a visiting professor at Grenoble Ecole de Management in France and Peking University in China. He has also served as a consultant to many of the world’s leading companies and organizations, including Cisco Systems, Inc., Harley-Davidson Motor Company, NASDAQ, National Investor Relations Institute, National Geographic Society, Public Relations Society of America, Raytheon, Roche, Siemens Corporation, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, and The World Bank.

Singleton is a recipient of the George Washington Award, the university’s highest, in recognition of exceptional contributions. He has received numerous teaching awards and was recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management on numerous occasions as one of its Annual Conference Top Ten Speakers.

Singleton is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Beta Gamma Sigma, Beta Alpha Psi, the American Accounting Association, the National Investor Relations Institute, and the Society for Human Resource Management.

Singleton received Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. degrees in accounting from Louisiana State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant
