Stephanie Roemer is a creative, strategic and innovative leader in Diversity & Inclusion at Freddie Mac. Stephanie advises decision-makers on diversity recruitment strategies, employee integration, and professional development initiatives. She has driven successful recruitment, inclusion, integration, and diversity education programs at Freddie Mac for over ten years.
Stephanie began her career at Burlington Industries, focusing on export planning, covering accounts in South America, Europe, and Asia. She joined Freddie Mac in 2000 as a Lead Logistics Specialist and steadily progressed to new opportunities. In 2005, she was hired to develop and manage the Technology College Program, an evolving role that resulted in a move to HR to manage recruiting, diverse sourcing, and diversity and inclusion programs.
Stephanie is an established trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach. She facilitates Freddie Mac Behavioral Interviewing courses and is a certified Credit Smart instructor. Stephanie has also presented sessions on Mentoring, Sponsorship, and Financial Literacy.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages with a concentration in Spanish and Secondary Education from Longwood University. She currently resides in Leesburg, VA with her husband, Nick, and their two children. When she is not focused on creating change, she enjoys her family, photography, and cycling.
