We'll explore the concept of "propinquity" - the physical or psychological proximity between people - and its profound impact on building inclusive workplaces in a hybrid, remote, or in-person workplace setting. Propinquity fosters meaningful connections and psychological safety. An environment of trust, respect, and open communication empowers authentic self-expression and perspective sharing. Leveraging The Power of Propinquity builds empathy, understanding, and unlocks the innovative potential of a truly diverse workforce.

Workplace Application: Attendees will learn how to strategically leverage the power of propinquity to foster authentic connections, enhance collaboration, and cultivate a sense of belonging in their workplace.

Learning Objectives:Participants will have a comprehensive understanding of how propinquity influences workplace relationships and organizational success. They will learn practical strategies to harness the power of propinquity, fostering a more connected, innovative, and inclusive workplace culture.

1) Understand the concept of propinquity and its impact on fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and its significance in forming workplace relationships. (Aligns with the Global Mindset competency) 

2) Develop strategies to foster a sense of closeness and community among team members, especially in remote or hybrid work settings, and apply principles of propinquity to design workspaces and work arrangements that promote interaction and collaboration. (Aligns with the Leadership & Navigation and Consultation competencies) 

3) Incorporate propinquity into HR strategies, programs, and processes, and utilize propinquity to support DEI efforts by creating environments where all employees feel connected and valued. (Aligns with the Relationship Management competency) 

4) Explore real-world case studies and best practices for leveraging the power of propinquity to drive innovation, employee engagement, and organizational success through an inclusive culture. (Aligns with the Business Acumen competency)
