Tuesday 10/20/2020 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM   Add to calendar

Culture at large can be defined as observable patterns of behavior. Workplace culture is no different. During this thought-provoking presentation, Dr. Steve Robbins, a doctor in Communication Science and founder of a consulting firm on issues of human behavior,  will dive into the primary importance of inclusion to the brain, its impact on behavior, and how the good work of inclusion leads to belonging – an essential need of the human brain. You won’t want to miss Dr. Robbin’s fresh neuroscience point of view, as he explains how you can use “patterns of practice” and “patterns of behavior” to leverage bias for positive outcomes and reduce negative outcomes. By taking a systems approach to inclusion, Dr. Robbins will help us delineate our actual operating system—our workplace culture—from our often-aspirational guiding values. You will take away practical tips for building a new, bold iOS—or Inclusion Operating System—at your own workplace. This illuminating science-based talk will include heavy doses of insight based on Dr. Robbins’ learned expertise, intriguing stories from his own lived experiences, and even laugh-out-loud humor.
