Electronic LCAs and Public Access Files - What's Possible and How to Get Started
Tuesday 11/17/2020 11:00 AM - 11:55 AM   Add to calendar
Competencies: Business Acumen, HR Technical Expertise
Workplace Application:
You'll learn about the current state of electronic LCAs and PAFs, where the law may be heading and how you can automate your company's LCA process.

Do you manage labor condition application (LCAs) postings and public access files (PAFs) for your H-1B cases? Do you find this process inefficient, frustrating and hard to track? Are you still posting hard copy LCAs and creating and storing hard copy PAFs?  In 2017, the Department of Labor (DOL) gave the green light to electronic PAFs, and two years later, in 2019, to online and electronic LCA postings. Yet overwhelmingly, employers and immigration law firms are still stuck in the pre-computer era when it comes to this process. This presentation aims to demystify electronic LCAs and PAFs. You will hear about the current state of electronic LCA and PAF regulations and enforcement, where these regulations may be heading, and most importantly, how you can start automating and digitizing your LCA and PAF process to save time, minimize human error and promote compliance.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review of the current regulatory landscape and statistics around LCAs and PAFs.

  • Assess regulatory amendment proposals specifically related to LCA and PAF compliance and create awareness for the future and understanding of government decision-making.

  • How to leverage technology to successfully digitize and automate the LCA and PAF process.

  • Examine several examples of other organizations and provide specific products and other digital solutions organizations can use to get started.
