1.50 SHRM PDCs | Competencies: Global & Cultural Effectiveness, Leadership & Navigation | Intended Audience: Intermediate (Fostering DEI)
Workplace Application:
We will explore the various organizational structures that support effective diversity and inclusion efforts, for companies with chief diversity officers and for those without.

The workforce is changing, becoming more multi-cultural and multi-generational, growing globally and introducing digital employees. But with these changing demographics, even the most thoughtful D&I strategies are failing to engage every level of the organization. In this session, we will share what some leading companies are doing to design their diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in order to fully leverage this future workforce. We will identify activation tactics that build alignment and commitment with leaders at every level of the organization—from the board of directors, to the middle managers to the individuals these efforts are designed to help. Join this session to look beyond common practices to support the changing workforce.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn the elements of a thoughtfully designed global diversity and inclusion strategic roadmap.
  • Learn the most effective ways to distribute accountability for diversity and inclusion throughout the organization.
