Reality-Based Leadership: How to Peacefully and Effectively Lead Teams Through Transformative Times
Thursday 09/24/2020 12:30 PM - 01:30 PM   Add to calendar
1.00 SHRM PDCs | Intended Audience: All Levels

Over the last 20 years, reality-based leadership has offered a groundbreaking approach to evolving leaders and teams to peacefully navigate an ever-complex and demanding world of work. Prior to the pandemic, the average person was spending over 2.5 hours per day dealing with drama at work. This time and energy manifested in common behaviors such as resisting change, arguing with reality, lack of accountability, venting and misalignment to the organization, all of which drastically reduce the productivity of our teams and the joy that each of us experiences each day at work. Add in our virtual and/or socially distanced environments, and leaders are reporting more drama in the system to navigate than ever before.

In this session, leaders will learn about actionable tools and strategies to tend to their people first with empathy while also calling individuals to greatness. They will gain a profound understanding of how to continue to foster accountability and self-reflection even during challenging circumstances. Most importantly, leaders will discover an evidence-based way to maintain highly engaged teams that are ready for whatever might be coming next in our workplace realities.
