This highly engaging, memorable and actionable keynote session will introduce attendees to the transformative African concept of Ubuntu (pronounced, oo-BOON-too), which is translated to mean “I am, because we are.” Additionally, Shola will share how Ubuntu, along with three powerful questions, can positively transform how we work, live and lead—starting today. Best of all, anyone can do this regardless of job role, years of experience, level of education or professional title. Lastly, Shola will present a strategy to help attendees deal more effectively with challenges and will introduce an additional tool to ensure that participants stay committed to positive change long after the keynote ends.

OBJECTIVES

  • Recall the three questions that can positively (and immediately) change how we work, live lead.
  • Discover a technique for reclaiming your own power, and for effectively dealing with intensely challenging situations (and people)—both inside and outside of work.
  • Identify a strategy to remain committed to collegiality, constant positive improvement and the human experience long after the keynote ends.
