Attendees will learn what keeps women from advancing to leadership roles in today's businesses and how organizations can better leverage their talent.

Today, we've all heard about gender inequities in leadership or experienced it firsthand in our own career. But did you know that perception (not skills or competencies) has the most significant impact on career advancement for women and women of color? This presentation is based on the best-selling book The Power of Perception: Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, and the Gender Divide. We'll explore barriers and misperceptions that women face in the workplace. We'll discuss the impact of gender culture and emotional intelligence on the behaviors of men and women. The speaker will provide real-world examples and case studies, including strategies for individuals and organizations that support career growth, gender parity, and diversity and inclusion.
